Rocking K believes informed communities are strong communities. This November, voters within the Vail Unified School District will consider Proposition 423, which would continue the district’s existing 12.5 percent Maintenance and Operations budget override for five years.

The budget override provides funding that supports Vail schools and the educational opportunities available to students throughout the district. Proposition 423 is a continuation of the existing override, giving voters the opportunity to decide whether that funding should remain in place for another five years.

For Rocking K residents and families, the issue is particularly relevant because the community is located within the Vail Unified School District. Rocking K’s Saguaro Creek K-8 School opened in July 2025, bringing a new Vail school directly into the community and further strengthening the connection between Rocking K and the district.

Rocking K Development encourages voters to learn about Proposition 423, review information provided by the Vail Unified School District and election officials, and understand how override funding supports Vail schools before casting their ballots.

The deadline to register to vote is October 5. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
