Natural Setting

The trip to Rocking K through Rincon Valley’s high Sonoran desert, includes resilient arid landscapes, saguaro studded hillsides and seasonal bursts of color. The Rincon Mountain range stretches across the horizon. From sunrise to mid-day, sunset into night, the beauty of the Tucson’s desert skies is world renown. A wide variety of native and migrating birds and other abundant wildlife are found within Saguaro National Park, the Rincon Valley and Rocking K .

Active Lifestyles

Rocking K provides you opportunities to continue many of the sports and outdoor activities you already enjoy. Rocking K also encourages you to try a new outdoor activities; horseback riding, mountain biking, bird-watching, rock-hounding, hiking, camping and much more. The Diamond Community Park includes basketball and pickle ball courts, soccer fields, innovative playscapes and a splash pad. Golf is available less than 10 minutes away at Rancho del Lago. Rocking K is an invitation to explore, discover and connect.

VUSD & Education

Rocking K is located within Vail Unified School District, which is comprised of 20 schools. VUSD is one of the top 3 rated school districts of the more than 700 districts in the State. The Arizona Department of Education assigns every school an A-F academic grade. Ocotillo Ridge Elementary School and Old Vail Middle School are both “A” rated schools and will serve Rocking K Students. A future K-8 school is planned to be built within Rocking K.

Additionally, the region is served by Pima Community College, a fullyaccredited public community college with six campuses, four education centers and several adult learning centers, offering traditional and online instruction in 144 programs.

The University of Arizona, a land-grant university was established in 1885. It has an accredited medical school, and is one of the top research universities in the U.S. In the fall of 2020, there were approximately 47,000 students enrolled in the U of A. The U of A offers 302 undergraduate majors and is well recognized for its business, health sciences, engineering and aerospace fields of study. The U of A Athletics and its Wildcats offer Pac-12 sports throughout the year.
