The Rocking K Veterans Day 5K is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to participate. Come out, get moving and show your support for our veterans. The morning includes a competitive 5K, 3K Fun Run/Walk, brunch, awards and a special Veterans Day program featuring the VUSD NJROTC Drill Team and Color Guard.

Benefiting the VUSD NJROTC Drill Team and Color Guard
Representing 150 dedicated cadets across Vail Unified School District under the guidance of Commander Micah Brewer, USN (Ret.), the NJROTC Drill Team and Color Guard build essential leadership, discipline and community pride.
Funds raised will go toward the purchase of equipment for formal ceremonies.
This year’s partnership brings together Rocking K, Vail Unified School District, NJROTC cadets, veterans, families and the greater Vail community for a morning centered on service and community.

The event is open to the public. Participants can register for either the Competitive 5K Run or the 3K Fun Run/Walk.
Competitive 5K
Put your pace to the test on a beautiful Arizona autumn morning at Rocking K. The competitive 5K begins at 8:15 AM, with race logistics and timing provided by Roadrunner Race Timing.
3K Fun Run/Walk
Racing isn’t your style? Join the 3K Fun Run/Walk beginning at 8:30 AM and enjoy the morning at your own pace.
Registration Fee: $15
Registration collects:
- Participant name, date of birth, email and phone
- 5K Run or 3K Fun Run/Walk selection
- Race category
- Emergency contact information
- Required waiver, race rules and photo consent acknowledgements
Awards & Race Timing
Recognition will be presented for:
- Overall Top Male & Female
- Top Under 20 Male & Female
- Top Over 50 Male & Female
- Finisher Recognition

$150 Individual Sponsorship
Includes logo placement on the event banner and event landing page.
$500 Business Sponsorship
Includes logo placement on the event banner and landing page, a booth at the event, and a table of 10 at the Awards Ceremony with preferred seating.
Your participation helps support the NJROTC program and the purchase of equipment used by cadets during formal ceremonies.
